First Full Height Teeter
I put Riot on a full height teeter tonight. And of course, no problems.
Standard Riot protocol is to okay, maybe a little hesitant the first time he does something. Second time, he’s like no problem, I got this down. And the third time he’s raring to go and the enthusiasm comes out.

Big Week for Riot
Riot’s growing up. This is his first week without his mid-day walker coming in to take him out. He’s done really well. Guess this means he really is growing up. Teresa from Everything and the Dog, LLC took great care of Riot on his mid-day walks.

Riot at 11 Months
Riot is a Riot (aka Handling I Week 3)
I’m starting to feel like part of a comedy routine with Riot in class. I don’t know if it’s me, it’s him or the combination of the two of us.
Tonight we:
practiced the serpentine (which was much better than last week)
worked on introducing rear crosses
jumped over and on a tunnel a few times (yeah, not sure what that was about)

Riot and the Serpentine
This week in Handling I we had our first introduction to serpentines and front crosses. Besides completely busting me for doing too much obedience work and not working on my right side, the serpentine proved to be a great challenge to us.

Handling 1 Week 1
Riot had his first handling 1 class tonight. He’s such a fun dog to work with. He’s got a great stay and is so enthusiastic about everything. We did two short handling sequences — tire to curved tunnel to the double and a four jump pinwheel. And then three straight sequences — jump, jump, table; jump, chute; and jump; broad jump.

Why Riot?
I’m always interested in how people arrive at the names they do for their dogs. So I figured I’d explain how Riot got his name.
Riot is part of the Gaylan’s Comedy Crew. All the dogs in the litter had to have a comedic theme to their registered name. I think it’s neat when a dog’s registered name is related to their call name, but doesn’t have their call name...

RN! - Riot's First Title!
Riot and I went to the Richmond Dog Obedience Club’s trial in Stafford, Virginia. The Rally trial was held from 3-10pm on Friday and Saturday night. I think more trials need to start at 3pm.
We were a little rushed getting there on Friday as Stafford was further away than I remembered it being and as usual 95-S was a parking lot. We got there just about 3pm. Fortunately, Novice B went first...
