Big Week for Riot

Riot’s growing up. This is his first week without his mid-day walker coming in to take him out. He’s done really well. Guess this means he really is growing up. Teresa from Everything and the Dog, LLC took great care of Riot on his mid-day walks.

Tonight was week 4 of Handling I. Riot is a complete spaz until we’re ready to work and then he’s quite focused (for the most part). Elsie said our biggest challenge is learning to work together. Riot certainly has more speed than Cisco, so I’m finding my timing is off. Our last 8 obstacle (and longest to date) sequence was absolutely beautiful. It included 2 front-crosses and a 270.

Just to prove that Riot’s life is not all work and no play, here are a couple of pictures from this weekend. We had our very first trip to the dog park, got to play in a wading pool, and did lots of bumper work. (I tried to take video of the bumper work, but only managed to film the neighbors house and no retrieving.)
