Pre-Comp Week 4
I haven’t written about pre-comp since week one. At this point, I don’t remember week 2 and I skipped week 3.
This week Riot had a very nice, drive-y first run. The only issue we had was a difficult table to jump to tire to weaves sequence. If it was a trial, I would have put a (probably poorly timed front cross between the jump and the tire), but since this was practice a good time to practice a flip to the weaves. Our first two attempts I was late giving him direction to the poles. The third time I opened my mouth earlier enough and instead of doing the rear on the flat after the tire, I reared the tire and he nailed the entrance to the poles.

Our second sequence, we saw a bit of the hesitation that we saw on Monday night at the beginning of the course. Claudia was stumped as to what was going through his head there. Other than that, it was a pretty nice run other than me not supporting a wrap tunnel to the dog walk. I was too far ahead and told him walk-it too soon and he came out of that tunnel and hopped up on the dog walk about 3 feet up. Whoops.
His contacts were all really nice with the exception of one dog walk. I just took his collar and put him into place there.
